How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Definition

Let (pij,dij) be the rates of a finite conservative PDS Finite conservative production destruction systems with state domain Ω. Given yn∈Rm and h, if yn∉Ω+, any coordinate of yn is nonpositive, or h≤0, return an inadmissible-input status before evaluating rates or solving a system. First compute the stage z by invoking Modified Patankar Euler for conservative transfer systems with denominators σi=yin:

zi=yin+h∑j≠i(pij(yn)zjyjn−dij(yn)ziyin).

If the stage solve does not return a unique vector, return stage-failure. If its output z∉Ω+, return rate-domain-failure before evaluating rates at z. Otherwise form B(yn,z) with, for i≠j,

Bij(yn,z):=pij(yn)+pij(z)2zj,Bjj(yn,z):=−∑i≠jBij(yn,z),

and solve

(I−hB(yn,z))yn+1=yn.

Equivalently,

yin+1=yin+h2∑j≠i((pij(yn)+pij(z))yjn+1zj−(dij(yn)+dij(z))yin+1zi).

If the final solve is not uniquely solvable, return update-failure; otherwise return its unique solution yn+1. No zero-stage or denominator-regularized second-order variant is defined here.

3 results within one dependency step of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
