The mathematical content of this library — the definitions, statements, proofs, examples, counterexamples and page summaries — is free to use for education, study, teaching and personal work, under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Commercial use is not granted by that licence and needs our approval first.

What you may do

Share it in any medium or format, and adapt it — remix, transform and build upon it. Read it, print it, quote it in a thesis, put it on a course page, work through it with a class, translate it, or build a non-commercial tool on top of it. Those permissions cannot be revoked while you follow the terms below.

On three conditions

Attribution. Give credit, link to the licence, and say whether you made changes. A line like this is enough:

NonCommercial. Use it in ways not primarily intended for, or directed towards, commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Teaching a university course, writing a paper, revising for an exam and running a free study site are all fine. Selling a book, a course or a subscription that carries this material, training a model you sell access to, or putting it behind advertising are not — see below.

ShareAlike. If you remix or build upon this material, you must distribute your contribution under the same licence. This is the condition that keeps derived work as freely available as the original.

Commercial use

Commercial use is available, but it has to be approved first, in writing. We are not trying to make it hard — ask, describe what you want to do, and in most cases the answer will be yes on terms that suit both sides. What we will not do is let the corpus be enclosed silently.

Copies you already have

Until 17 August 2026 this library was published under CC BY-SA 4.0, which permitted commercial use. A Creative Commons licence cannot be revoked, so anything you received under those terms stays usable under them. The licence on this page governs the corpus from that date onward, and the pages here now carry it.

What is not covered

The application that renders this library is not covered by this licence, and neither is the Prestige Intelligence name or mark. Cited sources remain under whatever terms their own authors set — each item lists its sources, and where the library restates a result from the literature it says so in that item’s provenance labels.

Some items are recorded with a citation but not proved here. Those statements are not this library’s work; the citation names where they come from. See about this library for how that is marked.
