How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement
Facts & Assumptions
Given: and , with time constructibility understood in the output-constructor sense of Machine time and space constructibility. The hierarchy theorem is The deterministic time hierarchy theorem, and the class conventions are The class P and The classes EXP and NEXP.
Proof
A fixed transducer reads , counts , finds by integer search for the least with , and writes the binary word followed by zeros. For the finitely many lengths where , a literal branch instead writes . Its time is polynomial in plus , hence , since every fixed polynomial in is eventually below . A second transducer reads and writes followed by zeros in time. Both fully read the input and , so they are time constructible in the stated output sense. Every polynomial is because for each fixed exponent , and because .
The deterministic time hierarchy applied to step 1.1 gives . Since and , it supplies a language in .

Dependency tree · two levels
9 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
