How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
BRST cohomology for the dilation action
Example
Let be the one-dimensional abelian Lie algebra and let . Give the action by derivations . Then the classical BRST cohomology is
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The cochains, differential, and cohomology quotient in Classical Lie-action BRST cochain complex and The classical Lie-action BRST differential squares to zero.
Classical Lie-action BRST cochain complex: and in degree for this action.
The classical Lie-action BRST differential squares to zero: is defined because .
Verification
The operator is a derivation; for the one-dimensional abelian , its assignment to is a representation because . Thus this is an admissible input for [F1].
Since , , and for , the only nonzero cochains are and ; [F1] gives and .
For , ; characteristic zero makes each invertible, so the kernel is and by [F2].
The image of is exactly : every output has zero constant term and is the image of for . Hence , while gives for .

Dependency tree · two levels
7 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
