How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
One-step moment matching for additive-noise stochastic Heun
Statement
Let , let be constant, and define the generator . Let satisfy . Assume all mixed derivatives for and are continuous and bounded. For , , fixed , and , take one Heun step from Explicit stochastic Heun update for additive noise and let . Then a constant , uniform in , satisfies
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The additive-noise Heun update, , the constant , the backward equation , its bounded derivative assumptions, , and .
Explicit stochastic Heun update for additive noise: for increment , and ; means bounded continuous derivatives through order six.
Standard normal and normal laws: with standard normal of density ; its odd moments vanish and its even moments are obtained by integration by parts.
The Axiom of Choice: AC is inherited through the Brownian/normal-law interface in [L1] and [F1]; the one-step Taylor calculation itself uses no further choice.
Proof
Given: The assumptions above.
Put , , , and . Taylor's formula through degree three gives , with . From [F1], , , , , , and . Substituting and collecting terms of order at most gives For the second moment, the terms are and ; for the third they are ; for the fourth it is . All other terms either contain an odd Gaussian moment or have expected magnitude by and the displayed remainder bound. Since is bounded, , so .
Taylor-expand in its spatial argument through degree five. The sixth-derivative bound and step 1.1 yield where the displayed derivatives are evaluated at . Substituting the moment formulas, the coefficients through order are and , because Thus .
Since and is independent of , differentiating the backward equation gives . Taylor's formula in time at fixed , with bounded , therefore gives The coefficient and derivative bounds in the Statement make the constants in the preceding expansions uniform in .
The expansions in steps 2.1 and 3.1 have identical terms through order ; subtracting them leaves a remainder bounded by , which is the asserted one-step weak defect.

12 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
