How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Dequantization is relative to the input access and output task

Remarks

Under the nonzero-row promise and countable-product sampling model stated in the theorem, Tang's real-matrix result matches a particular input structure: entry queries together with efficient row/column ℓ2-norm sampling, including the preprocessing and storage that provide those samplers. Its task is to sample from a specified recommendation row derived from a thresholded low-rank approximation, and its output is a sample rather than a full matrix or a classical list of amplitudes. It therefore establishes a classical counterpart for that access/task/output contract. It does not assert efficient classical simulation of arbitrary quantum circuits, arbitrary quantum-state output, or algorithms whose input model lacks the required ℓ2 samplers. Compare algorithms only after matching input access, output type, approximation metric, and charged preprocessing.

Dependency tree · two levels

27 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
