How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement
Let be simple objects of a unitary fusion category, with , and let be a fixed parenthesization of . Equip with the split Hom inner product and choose orthonormal split vertex bases in the trees below. Fix . Let be a composite of associators and inverses to a tree fusing first, without permuting inputs. Let be the matrix of , with target rows and source columns, and let project onto all pair-first coordinates of simple pair output , retaining every multiplicity index. Define , extending the repeated-charge construction of Local anyonic channel projector to these arbitrary simple site charges. Then is pairwise orthogonal, self-adjoint, and idempotent, and its sum over all simple outputs of is the identity on .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The unitary fusion category, finite ordered simple inputs, split Hom space, orthonormal vertex bases, and adjacent pair specified in the Statement.
Local anyonic channel projector defines the repeated-charge case by , with the split-tree postcomposition matrix and retaining all coordinates of pair output . The Statement explicitly uses this same construction for arbitrary simple site charges.
Unitary fusion category: the associator is unitary and tensor product preserves daggers.
Proof
Given: The category, pair, tree bases, and operators specified in the Statement.
Orthogonal simple summand inclusions satisfy and , with zero cross-composites for distinct simple labels. Tensoring and composing these identities up a finite tree proves that its split composites form an orthonormal basis, for the arbitrary simple inputs in the Statement. Each associator and its inverse is unitary, so is unitary and ; hence . In the pair-first basis the coordinates are partitioned by pair output. Thus , , for , and , including every multiplicity coordinate. The same identities hold on a zero-dimensional block with its unique empty maps.
By step 1.1, , so and . For , , and . When all site charges coincide this is exactly [F1]'s family.

9 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
