How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Closed projective embedding from a radical homogeneous ideal
Statement
Assume the Axiom of Choice. If is homogeneous radical and , then ; its inclusion in is a closed projective embedding and its homogeneous coordinate ring is .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The Axiom of Choice, the algebraically closed base field fixed by projective space points, and a homogeneous radical ideal with nonempty .
The projective space is defined over a fixed algebraically closed field (projective space points); its projective algebraic sets are the homogeneous zero loci (projective algebraic set).
Over this algebraically closed field, under AC the projective radical-ideal correspondence gives for homogeneous radical with nonempty zero locus (projective irreducibility homogeneous prime).
The homogeneous coordinate ring of a projective algebraic set is , with its induced grading (homogeneous coordinate ring).
Assume the Axiom of Choice. Its use is the radical-ideal correspondence in [F2] (The Axiom of Choice).
Proof
The base field is algebraically closed by the standing projective-space convention in [F1]. Since is homogeneous and radical and is nonempty, all hypotheses of [F2] hold; under [A1] it gives .
By [F1], is projectively closed. Its inclusion identifies with this closed algebraic subset and has the identity as inverse onto its image, so it is a closed projective embedding in the classical coordinate sense used here.
Substituting from step 1.1 into [F3] gives . The quotient carries the induced grading because is homogeneous. This proves the stated coordinate-ring formula together with the closed embedding in step 2.1.

11 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
