How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Bernoulli relative free-energy functional

Definition

For u∈(0,1) define the Bernoulli free-energy density f(u):=ulog⁡u+(1−u)log⁡(1−u). For a reference density ρˉ∈(0,1) define h(u∣ρˉ):=f(u)−f(ρˉ)−(log⁡ρˉ−log⁡(1−ρˉ))(u−ρˉ). For d≥1, a smooth profile ρ:Td→[ε,1−ε] with some 0<ε<1/2, and normalized product Haar measure dx on Td, define Hρˉ(ρ):=∫Tdh(ρ(x)∣ρˉ) dx. If ∫Tdρ dx=ρˉ, then Hρˉ(ρ)=∫Tdf(ρ(x)) dx−f(ρˉ) because the linear term integrates to zero. All logarithm arguments are positive on the stated domains.
