How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Stability, superstability and regular tails
Definition
Fix . A pair potential is an even Borel function . For a finite list of positions , set and The value is allowed and represents a forbidden configuration; is not allowed.
The potential is stable if some finite satisfies for every and every . Fix a cell side and the half-open cubic tiling , , and let count the positions of in . The potential is cell-superstable if there are constants and such that for every finite configuration; the sum is finite for finite .
For disjoint finite cell-index sets , let be the sum of pair terms with one point in a cell indexed by and the other in a cell indexed by . The potential is lower regular for this tiling if a nonnegative envelope exists with and for all such . The ordered-pair convention in this formula is fixed as written.
A decreasing-integrable tail bound means that for some there is a nonnegative nonincreasing function such that for and . This explicit envelope condition is stronger than bare Lebesgue integrability of an arbitrary signed tail. Stability, cell-superstability, lower regularity, and a tail bound are separate properties; none is inferred from finite range alone.
