How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Complex scalar stress tensor with a supplied potential
Definition
Let have the smooth, boundaryless, oriented and time-oriented Lorentzian four-manifold structure, signature , metric-selected connection , and length-coordinate convention of Oriented Lorentzian fields, observers and coordinate conventions. Let be a supplied smooth real one-form, let be a fixed real coupling, and let be a smooth complex-valued function. In the length-coordinate convention, assign dimensionless components to and unit to , so has derivative unit ; assign an arbitrary fixed unit . Define the complex covector
Since is a scalar, . Define the real symmetric covariant tensor
with indices raised using . Its covariant components have unit . This is a mathematical tensor assignment. Its interpretation as a stress-energy tensor, and any field equation or conservation law, require a separate physical model.

Remarks
The definition uses a globally supplied real one-form and a chosen complex trivialization. It asserts no global-bundle trivialization for a general charged field.
