How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Internal Hom of module sheaves
Definition
Let be a scheme and let be -modules. The internal Hom of and is the sheaf of The internal Hom sheaf of two module sheaves, whose sections over an open are the -module of -linear maps, with restrictions given by restriction of morphisms. It is a sheaf of -modules, and its formation is contravariant in and covariant in .
This definition introduces no quasi-coherence claim. When is finitely presented and quasi-coherent (Finite type and finitely presented module sheaves, Quasi-coherent module on a scheme) and is quasi-coherent, the lemma on this page proves that is again quasi-coherent; for an arbitrary quasi-coherent no such claim is made here, and none is used on this page. The functor is left exact for every , because the functor is left exact, and the global sections are ; the stalk at a point is not in general.
