How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Finite Grassmann algebra and top-coefficient integral
Definition
Let be a commutative unital -algebra and let . Let be the exterior algebra over on distinct generators . Thus every pair of generators anticommutes, each generator squares to zero, and coefficients from commute with every generator. The bar is part of a generator's name; no complex-conjugation relation is imposed.
Order the generators as . The corresponding ordered monomials form the -basis of . Let and let denote the coefficient of in . Define the finite Grassmann integral by the -linear functional For , put . Since every monomial of degree greater than vanishes, its exponential is the finite sum The sign factor in is the chosen normalization. Its Gaussian determinant identity, including the value at , is proved separately.
