How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Finite-regulator temperature and inverse-energy parameter

Physical scope

A declared positive temperature input for one fixed finite-regulator model; it does not assert thermalization, an observed temperature, or an infinite-volume state.

Definition

For the fixed model of Adopted finite-regulator polynomial model, use the SI energy-unit convention of Quantum field quantities and compatible SI normalizations. A declared temperature input is a scalar T>0 with unit kelvin (K). Use the SI-defining Boltzmann constant kB:=1.380649×10−23 J K−1. This exact value is the one stated by the BIPM SI Brochure, 9th edition, version 4.01, §§2.2 and 2.3.1. Define the physical inverse-energy parameter

βphys:=1kBT[J−1],

and its dimensionless form

β^:=E∗βphys.

The product kBT has unit joule, and β^ is dimensionless because E∗ has unit joule. Since kB>0 and T>0, both inverse parameters are defined and positive. The temperature T is a declared model input; this definition does not infer it from a state or an experiment. It defines a parameter convention only and asserts no dynamical thermalization.
