How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Coherent module sheaves on complex manifolds

Definition

Let (X,OX) be a ringed space, so X is a topological space and OX is a sheaf of commutative rings. An OX-module sheaf F is locally of finite type if for every x∈X there are an open neighborhood U of x, a finite integer r≥0, and sections s1,…,sr∈F(U) such that their germs generate Fy as an OX,y-module for every y∈U.

For an open V⊆X, a finite integer p≥0, and an OX-module morphism ϕ:OV⊕p→F∣V, its relation sheaf is the kernel sheaf ker⁡ϕ. The module sheaf F is coherent if it is locally of finite type and, for every such V, p, and ϕ, the relation sheaf ker⁡ϕ is locally of finite type. Here OV⊕0 is the zero module sheaf.

In particular, for a finite tuple f1,…,fp∈OX(U), its holomorphic relation sheaf is the kernel of the morphism OU⊕p→OU that sends (a1,…,ap) to ∑j=1pajfj. The structure sheaf is coherent when it is coherent as a module over itself. If M is a complex manifold, an analytic coherent module on M means a coherent module sheaf over its sheaf OM of holomorphic functions.
