How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Donaldson's ADHM matrix equations in the source convention

Definition

Let V=Ck and W=CN with their standard Hermitian inner products. Write α1,α2∈End⁡C(V), P:W→V, and Q:V→W. The Donaldson source convention for these four matrices is

[α1,α2]+PQ=0,[α1,α1†]+[α2,α2†]−PP†+Q†Q=0.

The second equality is an equality of Hermitian endomorphisms of V. It is an algebraic convention from the displayed source equations; it does not by itself assert the full-rank condition on the source's ADHM linear map or an identification with the run's raw moment maps.
