How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Uniformly bounded finite-range quantum spin interaction
Definition
Use the lattice , , the finite spin dimension , the local matrix algebras , and the max-coordinate metric of Local spin matrix algebras and their factor inclusions. For finite nonempty , write ; for finite nonempty , write .
A uniformly bounded finite-range interaction is a family , indexed by finite nonempty , such that and there are an integer , a finite , and satisfying
The norm in this sum is the operator norm in the local matrix algebra . If a model lists several terms with the same support, first add them in that local algebra; the resulting single operator is , and uses its norm. Thus no multiplicity is implicit.
For a finite region , define the free-boundary finite-volume Hamiltonian by summing only terms whose complete support lies inside ; terms meeting but extending outside it are omitted:
It is a finite sum of self-adjoint matrices. For a fixed scale and any finite , embed in by the canonical factor inclusion and define
These actions are compatible as increases, because the extra tensor factors carry the identity. On this is the ordinary finite matrix Heisenberg dynamics.
In physical SI bookkeeping, when is interpreted as an energy, , , and have units J, has units s, and is the adopted reduced Planck constant with units J s. The mathematics below uses only and asserts no measured parameter value.
