How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Spin weight spaces and rank-one Hall realization

Definition

Assume the Axiom of Choice as inherited through the cited Hall supplier. Let V=C2 with ordered orthonormal basis ∣↑⟩,∣↓⟩. On V define E=(0100),F=(0010),H=(100−1). They satisfy [H,E]=2E, [H,F]=−2F, and [E,F]=H, and therefore define the standard two-dimensional representation of sl2(C). Write S+=E, S−=F, and Sz=H/2.

For each integer N≥1, the spin space is HN=V⊗N with its tensor-product inner product. If A is an endomorphism of V, let Aj act as A on factor j and as the identity on the other factors. Define the diagonal generators SN+=∑j=1NEj,SN−=∑j=1NFj,SNz=12∑j=1NHj. For m∈{−N/2,−N/2+1,…,N/2}, its weight space is HN,m=ker⁡(SNz−mI). These are dimensionless matrices in the algebraic spin convention.

For each integer r≥0, define V(r) to be the vector space C[x,y]r of homogeneous polynomials of degree r, with sl2 action E=x∂y,F=y∂x,H=x∂x−y∂y. The ordered monomials xr−kyk for 0≤k≤r form its basis. Under x↦∣↑⟩ and y↦∣↓⟩, V(1) is the representation on V above. A tensor power V(1)⊗N uses the diagonal action defined by the sums SN+,SN−,2SNz.

Let qH>1 be a prime power, fix a finite field FqH, and put ν=qH>1 and K=Q(ν). The representation category A=VectFqHfd of the one-vertex, no-arrow quiver has one simple isomorphism class, represented by S=FqH. For objects M,N, write χ0(M,N)=dim⁡FqHHom⁡(M,N)−dim⁡FqHYExt⁡1(M,N). In the Hall convention of The Euler-twisted Hall algebra, the Hall space is HA,ν=⨁[M]K[M], with basis [M] indexed by isomorphism classes and product [M]⋆[N]=νχ0(M,N)∑[L]gM,NL[L], where gM,NL counts subspaces N′⊆L with N′≅N and L/N′≅M, or equivalently short exact sequences 0→N→iL→pM→0 modulo changes of the endpoint labels: (i,p)∼(i∘a,b∘p) for a∈Aut⁡(N) and b∈Aut⁡(M), with L fixed pointwise. Each orbit is determined by im⁡i=N′; without this quotient, each such subspace contributes ∣Aut⁡(N)∣ ∣Aut⁡(M)∣ labelled sequences. Thus the twist is part of the multiplication. For M≅FqHm and N≅FqHn, dim⁡Hom⁡(M,N)=mn and every short exact sequence splits, so YExt⁡1(M,N)=0 and χ0(M,N)=mn.

By The extended Hall algebra and composition subalgebra, the composition subalgebra is the subalgebra of this Hall algebra generated by the classes of simple objects; its torus extension is the distinct extended composition subalgebra. Denote the former by C here, so C=K⟨[S]⟩⊆HA,ν. The rank-one positive quantum half is Uν+(sl2)=K[E], the polynomial algebra on one generator. The Ringel map E↦[S] embeds this positive half with image C; since the one-vertex graph is finite Dynkin type A1, the finite-Dynkin criterion identifies C with the full Hall algebra in this case. The simple object is unique up to isomorphism, not as a chosen representative. The Axiom of Choice is inherited through the cited Ringel supplier.

Remarks

The formal Hall parameter qH and its square root ν are mathematical parameters; qH is not a physical Potts-state parameter. The field-valued Ringel identification is stated for ν>1; a specialization to ν=1 requires an integral form. The positive half contains no negative generator or compact star structure. No categorical action on V(1)⊗N is part of this definition.
