How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Comparison and stability for compounds
Definition
Fix a nonempty set and the compounds of Tagged scalable compounds. A comparison relation is defined only for pairs with . Write when both and ; this is equivalence, not equality of coefficient functions. The following are explicit hypotheses on :
- Preorder: , and implies .
- Composition consistency: implies for every compound .
- Positive scaling: implies for every real .
- Splitting and recombination: for , and , the one-state compound is equivalent to .
- Stability: for equal-mass , fixed positive compounds with , and a sequence decreasing to , if for every , then .
- Comparison hypothesis (CH): for every equal-mass pair , either or (or both).
These are mathematical assumptions, not conclusions about a physical system. No antisymmetry, continuity, convexity, or strict comparison is included. Strict comparison means and not .
Remarks
In the stability clause, a sequence is a function ; “decreasing to ” means whenever and in the sense of Limits and Cauchy sequences of reals. The separate requirement is stated in the clause.
