How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Exact finite-ring correlations and limiting correlation length at a chosen coupling
Zero-field finite periodic nearest-neighbor Ising ring at the exact parameter choice beta J=(log 2)/2; no observed magnetic data.
Example
For any finite at zero field, choose coupling in joules and inverse temperature in J. Then and the exact ring correlation at separation is At fixed , the limit is , so the correlation length is lattice spacings.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The finite zero-field ring theorem Finite periodic Ising-ring correlations and exact decay with , , and its indexed-bond convention.
Finite periodic Ising-ring correlations and exact decay: with , and, for , .
Set in the finite model.
Verification
Since , the choice [A1] gives .
Substituting in [F1] gives the displayed finite- correlation. Its fixed- limit is by the theorem's error bound, and gives .
Remarks
This is a finite-model calculation. The displayed coupling is a chosen parameter and is not an experimentally fitted value.
