How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A diffusive time step and a four-state entropy reversal
Exact finite specializations of the stated walk, rotor, and permutation models; no observations or collision-derived diffusion law are asserted.
Example
This example evaluates one finite walk step size, one rotor period, and the first three states of the exact finite permutation model in Diffusion-scale walk and recurrence/coarse-entropy counterexamples.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The three explicitly defined models and their units and conventions from Diffusion-scale walk and recurrence/coarse-entropy counterexamples.
Diffusion-scale walk and recurrence/coarse-entropy counterexamples: under , the walk has variance ; the rotor period is ; the finite permutation has coarse entropies and fine entropy .
Verification
Given: s, ms, s, kg m, and kg ms.
The scaling gives m and , so m and . This is a finite model marginal; its Gaussian limit is the separate conclusion of [F1].
The rotor return period is s. The finite permutation calculation has coarse entropy at times zero and two and at time one, while the fine entropy remains at all three times.
