How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Plane and pipe Couette–Poiseuille verification — worked interpretation
Constructed SI parameter substitution into the exact infinite-geometry profiles; illustrative model inputs, not measurements.
Example
In the exact channel and fixed-wall pipe models, choose , , , , , and for the channel . Define dimensionless coordinates and . The model profiles and observables are These are calculated values for the selected models, not experimental data.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The SI parameters and exact channel/pipe formulas stated above.
Plane and pipe Couette–Poiseuille verification — conditional physical prediction: channel flux and wall shear and fixed-pipe flux and wall shear follow from the exact stated profiles in the infinite one-dimensional model.
Proof
With , substitution gives . Integrating the profile over gives .
The channel shear formula gives Pa at and Pa at . For the pipe, with , , , and . These are model calculations only.
