How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Vortex topology and global-Bernoulli counterexamples — formal worked fields
Example
For , , , and , the vortex is with pressure . Its circle of radius has circulation . Separately, for solid rotation take , , and ; then and , and its Bernoulli quantity is . Thus circles of distinct radii have distinct Bernoulli values.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The vortex is defined only where and the solid-rotation field is on all of . Both use the stated constant-density pressure multiplier.
For the vortex use , , , . For solid rotation use , , , .
Vortex topology and global-Bernoulli counterexamples: the vortex has circulation and pressure ; its nonzero circulation rules out a single-valued global potential. Solid rotation with pressure is an exact steady field with .
Verification
The parameter substitutions in [F1] give . Direct differentiation yields , so ; the vortex convection is and its Laplacian is zero. Along , , so . A single-valued potential would have zero integral by the chain rule around the closed curve.
For solid rotation the substituted pressure is and , while . Hence . Along a streamline of this selected field, , so ; consequently and are constant along that curve, while different positive radii give different values.
