How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
SU(Nf) cubic-anomaly check for proposed SQCD dual data
Algebraic anomaly-coefficient check for the proposed four-dimensional N=1 electric/magnetic SQCD field data in the conformal window; it is not evidence that the two continuum theories are equivalent.
Example
Let integers and satisfy , and put . Consider the following proposed four-dimensional SQCD field data, in natural units. In the electric theory, there are quark chiral multiplets in the fundamental of the flavor group , with color copies; the antiquark multiplets are singlets under . In the proposed magnetic theory, the quark multiplets are in the antifundamental of , with color copies, and the meson multiplet transforms in under , giving copies of the fundamental of . The magnetic antiquarks and both gauginos are singlets. Normalize the cubic-anomaly coefficient of a left-handed Weyl fermion to in and in , and add coefficients over independent copies. Then the electric and proposed magnetic coefficients are
This equality is one anomaly-matching consistency check of the proposed field data; it is not a proof of Seiberg duality or of equality of the infrared continuum theories.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The electric and proposed magnetic field representations, , and the anomaly normalization stated in the Example.
The magnetic field data are a proposed infrared-dual description; this example assumes the field representations for the coefficient calculation and does not assume or prove equivalence of the electric and magnetic theories.
For a left-handed Weyl fermion, the chosen cubic-anomaly coefficient is in the fundamental of , in its antifundamental, and zero in a singlet; independent copies contribute additively.
Verification
Given: [A1]–[A2] and the explicit electric/magnetic matter multiplicities in the Example.
In the electric theory, each of the color components of is a left-handed Weyl fermion in of , so these fields contribute . The antiquarks and gaugino are singlets and contribute zero. Hence .
In the magnetic theory, the color copies of are antifundamentals and contribute . For each of the right-flavor components of , its left-flavor index is fundamental, so the meson fermions contribute . The magnetic antiquarks and gaugino are left-flavor singlets. Therefore .
Substituting gives . This verifies the stated cubic-anomaly match.
The calculation checks only this specified global-symmetry coefficient under the proposed field assignments. It supplies no map of all observables, no equivalence of renormalization-group flows, and no continuum construction; therefore it does not prove the proposed duality.
