How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Fusion count alone leaves an entropy-to-scalar ratio undetermined
Example
For the two-label matrix in the finite fusion count model, . Choose a positive scalar independently of and set . The ratio between the model entropy and this separately assigned scalar is , and it changes when is replaced by although and are unchanged. Thus the finite count alone does not determine a proportionality coefficient between its entropy and an independently assigned area-like scalar. The scalar is formal data in this mathematical example; no geometrical area, physical entropy, or gravitational law is asserted.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The two-label matrix and return-count recursion, an independently assigned scalar , and .
Fusion path recursion and entropy: for the two-label matrix, , , and ; when , the uniform-state entropy is .
Order, continuity, range, and the product, quotient, and reciprocal laws for the natural logarithm: is strictly increasing and .
The scalar assignment is independent of the transition matrix and its counts.
Verification
Applying the recurrence in [F1] gives , , and . Since , the corresponding finite-state entropy is .
With the assignment , the ratio is . Replacing by leaves , , and fixed while giving .
Because , [F2] gives ; since , and therefore . The count model consequently does not fix this coefficient.
