How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: the open set , the locally integrable function , and the regular functional from the Statement.
Regular distribution from a locally integrable function defines . If , it gives and states that the functional is complex-linear and well-defined.
Test function lf topology universal property states that a linear map from to a locally convex space is continuous if and only if its restriction to every fixed-support space is continuous. This holds in ZF.
Proof
The functional is linear by [F1]. For each compact , [F1] gives for every , where and the value is when . Since is locally integrable, the coefficient is finite, so the restriction is continuous.
Apply [F2] to the linear map : every fixed-support restriction is continuous by step 1.1, so is continuous on with its LF topology. A continuous complex-linear functional on this space is a distribution, as claimed. The proof uses no choice axiom and asserts no injectivity result.
