How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The hypotheses stated in the formulation, including the explicitly adopted choice principle where indicated.
The Axiom of Choice: full AC is the explicit background assumption retained by the local zero-trace Stokes-space definition.
Projected no-slip Stokes Hilbert space: for nonempty , is the Sobolev-norm closure of fields on .
Integer-order Sobolev spaces and their norms: scalar is defined for every open set, including the empty set, where it is the zero space and every displayed norm is zero.
Proof
Given: Full AC, , , and .
If , [F3] makes each scalar Sobolev space the zero space, so its finite vector product and the closure of the sole compactly supported smooth field are . Thus the closure convention in the Statement gives , and all three displayed norms vanish. Henceforth assume , so [F2] applies. For , extend by zero to the cube. For each component and fixed , the fundamental theorem of calculus gives . Cauchy–Schwarz bounds its squared norm by .
Integrating the preceding bound over and yields . The pointwise matrix norm inequality gives the second inequality.
By the closure in [F2], choose compactly supported smooth in . Then both in and in , so the inequalities pass to the limit.
