How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Statement
Use the finite Dirac matrices and adjoint of Dirac Clifford matrices and energy projections, and the separate geometric metric and algebraic contraction of QFT example units, metric, gauge, and pairing conventions. Write for an energy four-vector with components in joules, for a rest-energy parameter in joules, and . In the natural-length variables of the Dirac definition, , , and .
Let , , , and . Define and . Each is a Hermitian rank-two projection. Choose orthonormal bases of their ranges and put and for . With and , the following hold:
The columns satisfy and . For all , complex conjugation of a Dirac current is . The Countable Choice hypothesis written in the current draft Dirac Clifford matrices and energy projections is retained as a supplier assumption; this finite-dimensional proof makes no additional choice use.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Fix and with . Use the matrix, shell, metric, and unit conventions in the Statement.
QFT example units, metric, gauge, and pairing conventions: geometric , algebraic , energy four-vectors and rest energies in joules, and the conversion from energy coordinates to inverse-length coordinates by .
Dirac Clifford matrices and energy projections: the displayed Pauli blocks define , , , , and . Its full definition also assumes Countable Choice and depends on the draft Fock and scalar-shell interfaces; only its explicit finite matrices and shell parameterization are used here.
Proof
Direct multiplication of the displayed Pauli matrices gives , , , , and the reversed products have the opposite signs. Hence . Block multiplication then gives , , , and . The explicit blocks have trace zero, so , and . The Clifford relation is . Cyclicity of trace follows by expanding matrix entries; averaging with its cyclic rearrangement gives . For the four-factor trace, anticommute successively past ; cyclicity makes the final four-factor term the negative of the original, yielding . Finally and by the same Clifford relations, so cyclicity gives , hence the three-factor trace is zero.
The relations in 1.1 give and : the mixed term cancels by . Therefore and . Since , and . A Hermitian projection has eigenvalues only and , so its rank equals its trace and each range has dimension two. A basis can be selected for this fixed finite-dimensional range by Gaussian elimination and orthonormalized by Gram–Schmidt.
The chosen bases give and . Multiplying on the right by yields and , using and .
Since , multiplication by gives ; since , it gives . Also : for this is , and for spatial it follows from and anticommutation with . Thus for all columns .
