How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Region charge equals boundary electric flux
Statement
Assume the data of Exact compact U(1) rotor plus finite CAR data and let . Define with when and when . On the domain the region number obeys the exact identity Thus for , where , every physical vector has total occupation . This finite-graph identity is exact and makes no continuum-limit claim.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A finite oriented graph, the joint diagonal Gauss operators, and their physical joint kernel.
Gauss operators, gauge group and nonempty physical projection: in the Fourier/occupation basis multiplies by , and .
Proof
Given: [F1] and .
For every basis label , summing over cancels each link with both endpoints in , leaves on a link directed out of and on a link directed into , and subtracts . Therefore
The equality of basis multipliers in step 1.1 is an equality of diagonal operators on vectors for which both sides are defined. Every is in all by physicality and in each boundary by definition, while is bounded; applying the multiplier identity gives .
If , then for every . Substitution in step 2.1 gives the claimed regional charge/flux identity.
For , every link has both endpoints in , so and the flux sum is zero. Step 3.1 then yields , which is exactly on all of .
