How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

For the formal coordinate-time Lagrangian densities
one also has
Subtracting the constant rest-energy density changes an action on a fixed coordinate-time interval only by a path-independent constant. These are uniform algebraic estimates for the stipulated family; they assert no equation of motion or trajectory existence.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The constants and speed-family condition in the Statement, with the definitions of there.
Under , the pointwise bounds for , , and hold with (Explicit low-speed momentum and energy remainders).
For , , and positive-base real powers are continuous and differentiable (Continuity and derivatives of positive-base real powers); composition derivatives follow from the chain rule (The chain rule, in one line from Carathéodory: if is differentiable at and is differentiable at , then is differentiable at with ).
Cauchy's mean value theorem gives for continuous on differentiable on (Cauchy's mean value theorem: for continuous on with and differentiable on there is with ; no hypothesis on is needed in this product form).
Proof
From and , . Apply [L1] with and then use : the gamma remainder is at most , the momentum error is at most , and the energy remainder is at most . The first-order gamma bound follows from in the same way.
Put on . By [L2], , , and ; differentiating gives the positive derivative , so this absolute value is increasing and bounded above by . For , set and on . Since , [L3] supplies with . The mean value theorem applied to on gives such that . Hence . The same bound is equality at .
By the definitions, . Step 1.2 and give the asserted action-density bound. On a fixed interval , integrating the subtracted constant contributes , independent of the path, so it does not change fixed-endpoint stationary variations.
Remarks
The parameter is dimensionless and the constants are uniform over every member of the stated speed family. The action estimate is an algebraic estimate of densities; it is not an existence or convergence result for stationary paths.
