How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The phase of a sum lies between upper-half-plane phases
Statement
Let and define . For , the phase of lies between and , strictly between them when they are unequal and equal to their common value when they coincide.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: .
The stability convention is and (Finite-field stability data for an acyclic quiver).
Proof
Given: The objects and hypotheses in the statement.
Suppose . Then . Consequently , which, by [F1], gives . Also , so [F1] gives .
If , interchange in step 1.1. If the arguments are equal, are positive real multiples of the same ray, so their sum has that same argument. These cases prove the stated between-phase rule.
