How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The algebra , , , , , and from Semisimple closed two-dimensional TQFT data.
Semisimple closed two-dimensional TQFT data: the idempotents form a basis, , and the classification assigns to a connected closed genus- surface.
Semisimple closed two-dimensional TQFT data: the cylinder convention is , and .
Proof
For every , because .
Since , repeated application of the diagonal action in step 1.1 gives for each integer ; at this is the identity convention in [F2].
Apply and use to obtain . The cylinder is by [F2], and for every summand is , so the torus amplitude is .
Sewing diagram
The arrows are the unit map, the -fold handle operator, and the counit. Their composite is the scalar assigned to the closed surface; the diagram is a type-checked summary of the formula, not a proof premise.
