How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Fixed-block measurement predictions under independent shell preparation
Conditional predictions for a specified finite q-level noninteracting tensor model, adopted canonical and uniform-band preparations, a fixed finite subsystem and a declared finite POVM. No detector frequencies, thermalization, interacting or growing-block conclusion is asserted.
Statement
Assume the physical preparation postulate Adopted finite canonical and band preparation rules, and the exact independent-shell hypotheses and notation of Fixed-subsystem equivalence for independent finite energy shells. In the physical interpretation fixed by the preparation postulate, the primitive scalar levels and total label energies are in joules, the band widths are in joules, is in kelvin, and is in joules. For each fixed and each fixed -outcome POVM on the -site register, define the conditional model probabilities and for . They satisfy This is a conditional prediction for the adopted states and specified measurement; it supplies no empirical frequencies or sampling inference.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: An integer , real finite additive levels, finite , widths satisfying and , fixed , and a fixed finite POVM on the first sites.
Adopted finite canonical and band preparation rules: under the adopted preparation rule the two states are the canonical density and the normalized uniform band density, and P2 assigns POVM probabilities by trace pairings.
Fixed-subsystem equivalence for independent finite energy shells: the fixed- reduced states converge in trace norm.
Finite tensor density, observable and measurement language: each POVM outcome is a positive effect, and the finite trace pairing is the expectation used here.
Proof
By [A1], the local laws are and . Put . The states are diagonal in the common product energy basis. Write and for its diagonal entries in the product basis. Positivity and completeness of the POVM imply and for every basis label . Thus .
Apply the triangle inequality and sum over the finite outcomes: By [F1] this last quantity tends to zero for fixed , proving the claim. The calculation compares model probabilities only. It makes no inference from finite observations, which would require separately declared sampling and apparatus assumptions.
