How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Delete-one jackknife acceleration

Definition

Input n≥2 real delete-one estimates θ^(−1),…,θ^(−n). Compute θˉ(−)=1n∑i=1nθ^(−i),di=θˉ(−)−θ^(−i),S2=∑idi2. If S2=0, return undefined. Otherwise return the jackknife acceleration a^J=∑idi36S23/2. The output is the finite-sample acceleration input used by the BCa procedure. For the special case θ^(−i)=g(Xˉn,(−i)), Delete-one jackknife linearization for smooth functions of a mean proves first-order pseudovalue linearization and jackknife variance consistency under its full hypotheses: the Xi∈Rd are IID with E∥X1∥2<∞; g:Rd→R is Borel and continuously Fréchet differentiable on an open neighborhood of μ=EX1; and 0<aTΣa<∞ for a=∇g(μ). This finite-sample algorithm and that first-order theorem make no BCa coverage claim.

Dependency tree · two levels

8 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
