How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Bias-corrected and accelerated bootstrap interval

Definition

Assume AC. Input observed estimate θ^, a nonempty list of B bootstrap estimates, n≥2 delete-one estimates, and 0<α<1. The bootstrap estimates are generated under IID empirical bootstrap sample and mean statistic. Compute p^0=#{b:θ^b∗<θ^}+12#{b:θ^b∗=θ^}B,z^0=Φ−1(p^0), using the midrank tie rule and extended endpoint convention Φ−1(0)=−∞, Φ−1(1)=+∞, and compute a^J by Delete-one jackknife acceleration.

If p^0∈{0,1} or a^J is undefined, return undefined. Otherwise, for γ∈{α/2,1−α/2} set zγ=Φ−1(γ),pγ=Φ ⁣(z0+z0+zγ1−a^J(z0+zγ)), where z0=Φ−1(p^0). If either denominator is zero or pα/2≥p1−α/2, return undefined. Otherwise return [QB(pα/2),QB(p1−α/2)], using Lower empirical quantile of bootstrap values. These instructions define a finite-sample procedure only; no BCa coverage theorem is asserted.

Dependency tree · two levels

28 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
