How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The Kronecker Hall algebra strictly contains its composition subalgebra
Statement
For the two-arrow Kronecker quiver, the degree Hall component has basis classes, whereas its simple-generated composition subalgebra has dimension at most two in that degree. Thus the full Hall algebra is strictly larger than the composition subalgebra.
The diagram denotes two distinct parallel arrows from vertex to vertex . A representation assigns a scalar to each arrow when both vertex spaces are one-dimensional.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: is the quiver displayed above over .
Its finite-dimensional representation category is an acyclic finite-field hereditary Hall category, and dimension vector grades its Hall algebra (Finite-dimensional representations of an acyclic quiver form a hereditary finitary Hall category).
The composition subalgebra in this example means the subalgebra of the twisted Hall algebra generated by the vertex-simple classes.
The underlying untwisted Hall product is associative (The untwisted Hall product is associative and unital).
Every finite field has cardinality .
Proof
The acyclic Euler form is , which is bilinear by [F1]. Define this example’s product by , where is the untwisted Hall product of [F3]. This twist preserves associativity, since . Thus the composition subalgebra is defined for this quiver.
A representation of dimension is a pair of arrow scalars. An isomorphism is a pair of nonzero endpoint scalars , acting by common multiplication by . The zero pair is one orbit and gives . Each nonzero orbit is a line in , giving further orbits. Thus the full Hall component has independent isomorphism-class basis vectors.
A product of simples of total degree must use and once each. There are only two possible words, and , so the degree component generated by simples has dimension at most two.
Since by [F4], . The two subspaces have different dimensions, proving strict containment.

Dependency tree · two levels
19 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
