How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Conformal vertex algebra of CFT type
Definition
A conformal vertex algebra of CFT type is a complex vertex algebra in the sense of Vertex algebra in the state–field convention, with a specified vector and scalar , such that, writing
the operators and scalar central action satisfy the Virasoro relations of Virasoro algebra in the L_m convention, and . In addition, is diagonalizable, gives , every is finite dimensional, and . Under this page's convention, this is a vertex operator algebra of CFT type. The grading and the CFT-type condition are part of the definition; they do not follow from the vertex-algebra axioms alone.
The conformal weight of is . A conformal vector, a grading, and the nonnegative grading condition are additional data beyond an ordinary vertex algebra.
