How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Padded sequences. For a partition and an integer , with missing parts read as zero, the first-row padding is the sequence , a partition of exactly when (First-row padding of a partition, Padded Kronecker coefficient sequences). When this sequence is used as a partition label, omit trailing zero entries; in particular and the missing first part is zero.
The Jacobi–Trudi completion. For an arbitrary finite sequence of integers , define where and for (Jacobi–Trudi and dual Jacobi–Trudi identities); for the empty sequence the empty determinant is . Every such determinant is or times a Schur function. Indeed, put . If for , the -th and -th columns of the matrix agree, so the determinant vanishes. Otherwise let be the permutation sorting into decreasing order and set ; then is weakly decreasing and, permuting columns with sign and using , the determinant equals . If then and the last column of this determinant is zero, so the value is ; if then , after deleting trailing zero entries, is a partition of with at most parts and the Jacobi–Trudi identity gives the value . In particular for every , and for : every term of the determinant expansion has total degree , so for some factor has negative index and vanishes.
The operators and . The Schur functions form a -basis of (Schur functions form an orthonormal integral basis), so there are unique -linear endomorphisms () and of determined on the Schur basis by where . Thus for (and for ), while raises degree by one; in particular . The operators are extended linearly, and denotes the -fold iterate of .
The stabilization index. The internal product on is the degree-preserving product of The internal (Kronecker) product on symmetric functions and Kronecker coefficients and the internal tensor product. For partitions , define to be the least integer such that following the source. This definition records the source's convention only: it does not assert that such an exists, nor that a value of satisfying the display is least for any other property. Existence, least-ness and the exact value of are proved in The exact global stabilization threshold for a fixed Kronecker product.

30 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
