How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Weight temperedness and positive Langlands data
Definition
Use from Parabolic affine Hecke algebras and their weight characters. Fix a positive definite -invariant inner product on , obtained by averaging any positive definite form over the finite group (Combinatorics of a reduced root datum). For put
In particular . Set
A finite dimensional -module is tempered if all its logarithmic weights belong to . It is essentially tempered with real exponent if and every logarithmic weight belongs to . For a nonzero module this exponent is unique because . An irreducible essentially tempered module is in strictly positive position if . A Langlands datum is a pair with such a module. Its standard module is .
These are the weight definitions of temperedness and essential temperedness; no analytic characterization is presumed. For the full algebra the tempered condition is equivalently for every weight and every . The equivalence follows because this rational polyhedral cone is generated as a real cone by its lattice points, and its polar cone is . For use in place of . The lattice-point assertion follows by expressing the cone as its central linear space plus nonnegative rational fundamental-weight rays and clearing denominators. The polar assertion also follows directly by expanding in the basis of simple coroots and testing the dual fundamental weights and both signs of every central vector.
The definition includes the whole central real exponent: when , strict positivity imposes no additional inequality and . Unitary central characters remain part of . Thus no uniqueness of a choice of unitary twist or of a semisimple-parabolic torus factorization is asserted.

11 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
