How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Private-message code for a physically degraded DM broadcast channel
Definition
For the channel of Physically degraded two-receiver discrete memoryless broadcast channel, a length- private-message code has independent uniform messages and , a single deterministic encoder , and decoders . Receiver estimates only . Average joint error is . Rates are nats/use; capacity means the closure of rate pairs achievable with vanishing joint error. No feedback is present.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A physically degraded finite broadcast channel and independent finite private messages.
Physically degraded two-receiver discrete memoryless broadcast channel: the block law is memoryless and has at each use.
Proof
The single encoder fixes the input word for each message pair; the finite product law in [F1] then defines both receiver output sequences jointly.
Both decoder error events are measurable subsets of finite output alphabets, and their union is the stated joint error; the rate and closure conventions are therefore well-defined.
