How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

The Temperley–Lieb negligible quotient and TLJ completion

Definition

Let ℓ≥3 be an integer, put q=eπi/ℓ and δ=q+q−1=2cos⁡(π/ℓ)≠0, and use the category Tδ and tensor ideal Nδ from Negligible morphisms in the Temperley–Lieb category and Negligible Temperley–Lieb morphisms form a tensor ideal. The negligible quotient category Tδ/Nδ has the same objects n∈N and morphism spaces Hom⁡Tδ/Nδ(m,n)=Hom⁡Tδ(m,n)/Nδ(m,n). Composition and tensor product are induced from Tδ; the tensor-ideal result makes both operations well-defined on these quotient spaces.

For a C-linear monoidal category C, its additive envelope has finite formal direct sums of objects and matrices of morphisms, with matrix composition and tensor product distributing over direct sums. Its idempotent completion has objects (X,e) where e∈End⁡C(X) and e2=e; morphisms (X,e)→(Y,f) are morphisms a:X→Y satisfying a=fae, with inherited composition and tensor product. The Temperley–Lieb–Jones category at order ℓ in this text means the idempotent completion of the additive envelope of Tδ/Nδ.

This is a definition of the quotient and completion only. It does not assert that the quotient is semisimple, that the completion is a fusion category, or that its simple objects have labels 0,…,ℓ−2.

4 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
