How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Level one recovers the finite type-A Hecke algebra

Example

Let R1=Z[Q±1,u±1]. Let HQ(n)=R1⊗Z[v±1]Hv(n) be the finite type-A Hecke algebra obtained from The generic type-A Hecke algebra by v↦Q. At cyclotomic level r=1, the Ariki–Koike algebra H1,n is isomorphic to HQ(n) by the map fixing each Ti, and its basis is {Tw:w∈Sn}.

Facts & Assumptions

Given: n≥1, the multiplicative level-one presentation over R1, and the finite type-A Hecke algebra HQ(n).

[F1]

The multiplicative cyclotomic Hecke algebra: the cyclotomic quotient imposes p(X1)=X1−u=0.

[F2]

The multiplicative cyclotomic Hecke algebra: the affine recursion is Xi+1=Q−1TiXiTi.

[F3]

The multiplicative cyclotomic Hecke algebra: Ti−1=Q−1(Ti−(Q−1)).

[F4]

The generic type-A Hecke algebra: specializing Hv(n) by v↦Q gives the finite type-A presentation over R1 with quadratic relation (Ti−Q)(Ti+1)=0.

[F5]

The standard basis of the generic type-A Hecke algebra: the reduced-word elements Tw form a basis of Hv(n) over Z[v±1].

[F6]

The Ariki–Koike PBW basis and generic splitness: the elements X1a1⋯XnanTw, 0≤aj<r, form an R-basis of Hr,n.

Verification

Given: The algebras and presentations in the example, with the homomorphism on generators Ti↦Ti.

1.1F1F2F3F4algebra

At r=1, [F1] gives p(X1)=X1−u=0, so X1=u and X1−1=u−1. By the affine recursion [F2], each Xi+1 lies in the subalgebra generated by T1,…,Tn−1 if Xi does. Also Xi+1−1=QTi−1Xi−1Ti−1, which lies in the same subalgebra by [F3]. The generator relations agree with the specialization [F4], so the assignment Ti↦Ti defines a surjective homomorphism HQ(n)→H1,n.

2.1F5F6step 1.1algebra∎

By [F5], Hv(n) is the direct sum of the coefficient modules Z[v±1]Tw. Tensoring this explicit direct sum with R1 shows that HQ(n) is free over R1 with basis the images of Tw. By [F6] with r=1, the same family is an R1-basis of H1,n. The surjection of step 1.1 sends the source basis to this target basis, so its kernel is zero and it is an isomorphism.

18 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
