How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The Ariki–Koike PBW basis and generic splitness

Scalar extension of a presented algebra is the algebra with the base-changed relations, and tensoring a free module carries its basis to a basis over the new coefficient ring. (Presentation base change and transport of explicit bases to commutative specializations)
Proof
Given: The algebra over , the finite set , the modules , and the field .
There are choices for each exponent and choices for , so . By [F1], these elements span and their images span , whose dimension is at most .
Let and, for each , let . On , the commuting are diagonal. For each the element is defined over by [F2]. It acts as on and on every other basis vector: a different tableau has a different content sequence, so at some coordinate its content contributes a zero factor. These are explicit joint spectral projectors in the image of .
If is standard, then acts as times the matrix unit carrying to and all other basis vectors to . The coefficient is nonzero by [F2], so division by it gives that matrix unit in the image. Adjacent swaps connect all linear extensions of a fixed shape; products of these edge matrix units give every matrix unit between two tableaux of that shape. The projectors separate different shapes, so the action homomorphism is surjective. Its target dimension is by [F3], hence .
Steps 1.1 and 2.1 give opposite dimension bounds, so has dimension exactly and its spanning monomials are a -basis. The surjective action map in step 2.1 is now an isomorphism, proving the displayed generic split decomposition.
Let be the free -module on the symbols in and map it onto by the spanning result [F1]. If is in its kernel, then maps to zero in ; the images of the symbols are a -basis by step 3.1, so in . Since embeds in by [F4], the map is injective and . Thus the spanning family is -linearly independent and is an -basis.
For any commutative -algebra , [F5] identifies with the quotient of the free associative -algebra by the same relations with coefficients mapped to . Indeed the image of the two-sided relation ideal is generated by the images of its defining relators. Tensoring the free -basis from step 4.1 gives the corresponding free -basis, without requiring to be flat over .
Steps 3.1–4.1 establish the universal basis, the split generic algebra, and all stated specializations. The independence proof uses the explicitly constructed generic modules and the proved square count, not the PBW theorem as its own premise.
