How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The KLR algebras in root degrees and
Example
Let be a KLR datum as in The quiver Hecke (KLR) algebra of a symmetrizable Cartan datum and fix . (a) In weight there is one sequence, and : the only relations are that is central, so is a -basis, , and . The algebra is commutative; up to shift its unique graded simple module is with acting by , is the projective cover of that simple, and with . (b) In weight one has , the nil Hecke algebra of rank , with -basis , free of rank over , and relations (in the normalization of relation (6) of The quiver Hecke (KLR) algebra of a symmetrizable Cartan datum) Its graded dimension is , and the element is a nonzero idempotent of degree with an indecomposable projective of class in .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: A KLR datum and , the PBW basis of The PBW (monomial) basis theorem for KLR algebras, the idempotents and divided-power projectives of Nil-Hecke idempotents and divided-power KLR projectives, and the Krull-Schmidt/covers of Graded Krull-Schmidt and shift-orbit bases for finitely generated KLR modules.
PBW basis (The PBW (monomial) basis theorem for KLR algebras): the monomials form a -basis, and the degree of a monomial is the sum of its dot and crossing degrees.
Divided powers (Nil-Hecke idempotents and divided-power KLR projectives): is a nonzero idempotent of degree , is the unique indecomposable projective summand up to shift, and by The KLR Grothendieck ring satisfies the divided-power quantum Serre relations, clause (iii).
Krull-Schmidt and covers (Graded Krull-Schmidt and shift-orbit bases for finitely generated KLR modules): finite graded modules over decompose uniquely and the cover/simple Hom pairing is computed as in The KLR Cartan (graded Hom) pairing on the projective Grothendieck group.
Verification
(a) In weight the only sequence is , and there are no crossings, so the presentation reduces to the single generator with relation (2) ; hence with basis , by The KLR grading and the diagrammatic multiplication, and . A graded simple is cyclic and bounded below; the positive-degree central cannot act bijectively on it, so simplicity forces . Thus its unique graded simple is up to shift; is free of rank one over itself, hence projective, indecomposable (its endomorphism ring is , whose only idempotents are ), and its quotient onto is a graded projective cover: if a graded submodule satisfies , comparison in degree zero gives , hence ; the pairing value is the normalization of The KLR Cartan (graded Hom) pairing on the projective Grothendieck group: as a graded space.
(b) In weight there is one sequence and one crossing , with relations (4) and (6) specialized to : and, on the equal-colour component, , . The PBW basis [F1] is , which is free of rank over ; the graded dimension is the sum of the two geometric series because has degree . For the idempotent: using , and by the PBW basis; its degree is .
(b, continued) By [F2] with the element is the divided-power idempotent, is the unique indecomposable projective summand up to shift, and ; the shift here is .
