How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A ratio transformation
Example
Give equal mass at each point, and let be the coordinate vector. Put , for , and define for and . The denominator of is positive for every . The first-order delta method gives The limit takes the values with equal probability and has variance .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The four-point probability law and sequence in the example.
has full sigma-field and assigns mass to each point; the coordinate variables are independent Rademacher variables.
First- and second-order delta method for random vectors: if is deterministic with , , and the Borel map has derivative at with first-order remainder , then .
Verification
Given: The finite four-point law, , , and the ratio map in the example.
By [A1], , so for every . For , the exact remainder after subtracting the linear map is , whose absolute value is bounded by a constant times . Thus the derivative at is . Also exactly.
Apply [F1] with this derivative to obtain the stated limit.
By [A1], the four equiprobable values of are . Their mean is zero and their second moment is , which is the stated variance.

Dependency tree · two levels
6 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
