How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Right closure on the five rank-three diagrams
Statement
For , use the five standard basis diagrams of . Their right closures are The normalized trace satisfies for all five diagrams.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: , the tower map, closure, trace, and elementary generators.
The five matchings are (all three through strands), (cap/cup at positions ), (cap/cup at ), (top cap , bottom cup , through strand from top to bottom ), and (top cap , bottom cup , through strand from top to bottom ); they are distinct members of the noncrossing diagram basis, whose rank-three Catalan count is five. (Temperley–Lieb planar diagram data and endomorphism modules, The rank-n diagram basis is counted by the nth Catalan number)
is the normalized right closure, is bimodular and trace-preserving, and sends to . (Finite diagram tower inclusion and normalized right closure, Right closure is a trace-preserving diagram-tower expectation)
The normalized closure trace has and . (Normalized Temperley–Lieb trace from diagram closure)
Proof
Given: The five rank-three diagrams and [F1]–[F3].
Since and , the identity gives the first two values. Also , so the right-generator Markov rule in [F2] gives .
The tower inclusion sends to the first generator on three strands. Bimodularity and the last value therefore give and . This lists all five basis images by [F1].
Trace preservation [F2] gives for every basis element and hence for their linear combinations. Explicitly, the values are on , on , and on , by [F3] and the displayed closures.

Dependency tree · two levels
15 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
