How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The double-edge KLR braid correction
Example
Take the cyclic affine datum of type : , , so and , with the KLR datum (the quiver-with-automorphism specialization of The quiver Hecke (KLR) algebra of a symmetrizable Cartan datum). Then:
(a) On equal-colour pairs the quadratic relation is , while on double-edge pairs it is (and symmetrically for ).
(b) On the braid relation has the nonzero correction so the naive simply-laced braid relation fails; the correction is the divided difference of relation (7), the first divided difference of the quadratic parameter in its first variable, with the displayed sign.
(c) Degree check: the three factors of act successively on the pairs , then , then of the two-step permuted sequence, so their degrees are , , , totalling ; the right-hand side also has degree . Thus the correction is homogeneous, of degree , while for a simple edge the corresponding correction is a degree- constant; the doubled Cartan entry raises the degree of the quadratic parameter , hence that of the correction, by .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The datum , , , , and the KLR datum , , with , on the algebra of The quiver Hecke (KLR) algebra of a symmetrizable Cartan datum.
Relations (4) and (7) of The quiver Hecke (KLR) algebra of a symmetrizable Cartan datum: , and the braid relation with correction when .
Grading (The KLR grading and the diagrammatic multiplication): , , and every defining relation is homogeneous.
PBW basis (The PBW (monomial) basis theorem for KLR algebras): in each block the monomials with and form a -basis, so a computation of an element on the spanning monomials determines it.
Verification
(a) Specialize relation (4) of [F1]. On an equal-colour pair one has or , so . On one has , and on the symmetric formula gives the same expression, so in both orientations.
(b) On the outer colours agree and the middle colour differs, so relation (7) of [F1] applies with : the left side is in the sign normalization fixed there (relation (6) of the definition, in which on the equal-colour component), and the right side is . Substituting gives , a polynomial. The element is nonzero by [F3], since its distinct dot monomials have coefficients , and the first two remain nonzero in every characteristic.
(c) In the word the factors are applied right to left: the rightmost acts on the pair of positions of , which carries colours , so its degree is ; the middle then acts on the pair of positions of the permuted sequence , which carries equal colours , so its degree is ; the leftmost acts on the pair of positions of , which carries colours , so its degree is . The composite has degree .
The right-hand side is a sum of degree- monomials, so the correction in (b) is homogeneous of degree (with , ); on a simple edge with the analogous correction is the degree- constant divided by , so the doubled Cartan entry is exactly what raises the degree of the correction by .

12 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
