How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Feynman–Kac path measures satisfy the forward recursion
Statement
Assume AC and the finite-horizon setup of Feynman–Kac path targets and normalizers. For and every nonnegative product-measurable , with equality in .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: AC, the finite-horizon path measures and potentials in the Statement, and .
Feynman–Kac path targets and normalizers: is the path law weighted by the nonnegative product .
Measurability of integration against a kernel: A nonnegative product-measurable integrand has a measurable section integral against a probability kernel.
The product sigma-algebra and its finite iterates: Coordinate projections from finite product measurable spaces are measurable.
Composition with a Borel measurable outer map preserves measurability: The composition of measurable maps is measurable.
Arithmetic and lattice operations preserve measurability whenever they are defined: Finite products of nonnegative measurable functions are measurable.
Integrating against a density agrees with integrating the product: If are measurable, then , including infinite values.
Proof
Given: The hypotheses in the Statement.
The coordinate projection is measurable by [F3], so is measurable by [F4]. Its product with the nonnegative product-measurable is measurable by [F5]; hence is measurable by [F2].
By [F1], the finite path law at time is obtained by appending to the time- path law, and . Applying [F6] to and then expanding the ordered kernel integral gives . These are nonnegative integrals, so the identity holds in and is the stated recursion.

35 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
