How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The stated incoherence bound implies the Lasso restricted eigenvalue condition
Statement
Let , , and let satisfy the incoherence condition of Fixed-design incoherence condition. For every with and every , Consequently the restricted eigenvalue condition of Restricted eigenvalue condition on the Lasso cone holds with .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: , , , and the incoherence bound .
Put . The incoherence bound is entrywise and equals (Fixed-design incoherence condition).
For a set of at most coordinates, (The Cauchy-Schwarz inequality for finite sums).
for every , by the definition of .
Proof
Write . Since and have disjoint supports, [F1] gives where the second inequality uses [F3].
The same disjoint-support fact makes . Thus using [F1], [F2] and [F3]. Also by [F4].
Expanding and using steps 1.1–1.2 gives This is the stated restricted eigenvalue inequality, including (then the cone condition forces , for which both sides are zero).

17 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
