How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: An integer and the definition of .
Membership in requires, for every compact , every , and every , a network satisfying both the identity-approximation and global-bound inequalities (Activation classes for neural-operator universality).
Proof
Proof strategy: direct.
Suppose . Choose with , set , choose , and choose . Since a singleton has diameter zero, these choices satisfy the quantifiers in [F1].
The required network would satisfy for every , hence . It would also satisfy , which becomes , contrary to the choice of . Therefore no belongs to .
Remark
The source's immediately adjacent assertion that ReLU belongs to this class cannot follow from the printed definition: the contradiction above applies to every activation. The global-output-bound branch of the source's Theorem 11 is therefore vacuous as printed. A change from diameter to a bound involving the location of would be a different definition and requires owner reconciliation.

Dependency tree · two levels
2 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
